Saying Goodbye to my Sewing Room

Well it’s time to move on..... My wonderful sewing/storage room is going. We are looking at buying our own home so I got a sale for my Sewing Room/Caravan so it has to go.

If you remember back here, when I received it, you’ll remember it got craned over the house. Yesterday it had to go back over and it will leave us tonight. Some young guys will have the enjoyment of using her at a local lake for some accomodation.

It has given me two years of joy and convenience of storage for all my fabrics. I will need to clean out a few things before moving to a new house I'm sure. More on that when it happens.

Busy time for me.....

But I still manage to get some stitching done. I’ve finally finished my last “A Gardener’s journal” stitchery.

Now time to finish the quilt...... soon....

Whipping up these little stitcheries to go on the Mug Bags.

Long Weekend Sewing (Part 3)

This is another Mug Bag I got finished today.

Love putting these little stitcheries into a project. Hope the recipient of this gift can put it to good use. Either as a Mug Bag or Sewing Bag.

I'm stitching another project for a Christmas Present.... I'll show more of it when I have it completed through the week.

Hope everyone else had a great Long Weekend.

Long Weekend Sewing (Part 2)

As promised.... More photos of my sewing

Leanne's House "Flowers & Flutterbuys" stitchery has been incorporated into his ruler case.

And the smaller stitchery has been added to this Mug Bag that will actually be used as a little sewing kit for my niece who has started putting some necessities together for her trip to UNI next year. I have added a small "Hatched & Patched" stitchery to the needle case and of course you need a small case for your scissors.

Long Weekend of Sewing

While others are probably off camping, enjoying their holidays, exploring the outdoors and celebrating or about to enjoy the football Grand Finals, I have enjoyed time on my own sewing after other Long Weekend Plans were cancelled.

I've finally made it to the sewing machine after only having time to stitch, it's such a satisfying feeling.

I raided my stitchery/pattern folder for the appropriate stitchery to start some projects.

First I've used "The Birdhouse - Cup of Kindness" pattern and incorporated it into "Hatched & Patched - Mug Pattern".

I have been waiting to make myself one of these little bags and it was so quick and easy. I will be making more of these.

This one will be taken to work and sit on my desk to jazz up my boring work station.

Next is just a "sneak peak" of a project I have finished for one of my Christmas Swaps so it is only a little peak of the variegated thread I've used for the quilting.

That is One & Two for OPAM & GYMB October 2010

More projects to show you tomorrow.....
