Quilting is a dangerous hobby.....

Well it is for me...... This is what happens when you put a new blade in your rotary cutter. Thank you to Doctor Carolyn for patching me up. I had a couple of pain killers and back to finish making this quilt. Inspired by this quilt from this book. This is another one of my pj flannel quilts. It will be backed with polar fleece fabric and the binding will be red. Back to that soon. The pattern didn't include a border but I felt mine was a bit busy and needed the border to frame it and to make it a bit bigger.

I finished putting the border around my Moda Spring Fling quilt.

That was all my projects from the weekend. I thought I would get more done but it's amazing how much time they all take. We did stop to eat and sleep - sometimes.

Thank you to the Club Quilt ladies for the most enjoyable weekend. We are booked again for next year. Count me in for sure. xx

Wow Fiona!!! You're doing such a fantastic job with all of your quilts lately... I love the one you made up for your Dad in the last post... I'm dying to make one of those shaggy quilts, was it hard??? It sounds like you had a fantastic time on the weekend and I can't wait to see some more pics..

Take Care
Jodie :)

Ouch!! I thought it was only me who did things like that. I dropped mine on my foot, unguarded of course! Great recovery though, nice quilts.

I cut my finger today chopping chicken, so you have my complete sympathy.

The quilts look great - I think you were right, the first one did need a border.

Ouch Fiona! Hope you did not get blood on the quilts...

Did you put super glue on it? That is what they seem to be using these days instead of stitches!

Wow, you are on a roll, so much completed. Put me to shame with my flannel. Shame about the finger, ouch!

Love the Spring Fling quilt. The colours are so bright and cheerful, a great quilt to cheer up a dull winter's day. Take care with your cutter, nasty little blighters aren't they!! You all had a really productive weekend, some great works, what more could you ask for, great company, good food and fabric (and I'm sure there had to be some chocolate and alcohol as well )

Hi Fiona I have some of the fabric in the quilt with the pink border. I really loved it and just had to have it ... but alas it still sits neatly on one of my shelves! Well done for using yours!
